Each shell brings a color tone, an appearance and a design specific to natural frames.

A collection launched in 2020, la Plage

Launched in 2018, the organically sourced frames from the collection “Plage” are 100% from plants and the sea. They are an alternative to plastic from fossil resources.

The material used in handcrafting those glasses, resulting from patented technologies, is the fruit of 2 years of research and development. It is made up of natural and renewable resources, that are renewable every two years. It includes vegetable and recycled marine co-products: oyster shells, mussels, and scallops from the French coast.

A collection that cares about the ocean, the sea and the environment

Some of Friendly Frenchy’s models have been designed to finance actions to raise awareness and protect the coast, the oceans, and the environment. These models, tinted in the mass, are composed of a mixture of shells. A share is donated on each sale to their partner associations such as Surfrider Foundation Europe.

Lenses made in France

3 types of recyclable and bio-sourced glasses in category 3 are available:

  • Fashion: With a gradient tint

  • Fashion & Sport: with a mirror finish

Packaging also made in France

A packaging case has been designed with the studio of nantais artists (from the city of Nantes, in France): The Feebles.

This recyclable packaging makes it possible to highlight the windows of partner shops while specifying the key information of the glasses. To protect the glasses, a printed microfiber pouch made in France is included. Its elegant and graphic pattern brings the final touch.

Unusual styles in limited edition

The revalued lobster carcasses come from production waste from an innovative company based in Morbihan (Brittany, France). It is a French lobster caught by a boat under the French flag and landed in France. The manual work of valuing this resource was entirely done by hand. An unusual, reasoned, and limited edition.
