Running Line: the new concept from FACE À FACE Paris

FACE À FACE announce a new series of frames featuring models Daria, Masha, and BOCCA Tweet. For this new series of designs, Pascal Jaulent, artistic director of the FACE À FACE design team has imagined a graphic line that is created and unraveled - playing through each model. The concept explores the interweaving connections and variety of possibilities with a flexible enveloping line and geometric and structured forms.

The color range is reimagined to highlight the graphic lines of this collection: natural shades such as ochre, terracotta, and contrasting neons, fluorescents, and transparent effects that are typical of the brand’s creative spirit.

The Brand, human, and fashion components of creative eyewear

The founder Pascal Jaulent has a passion for human and social issues and for ethnology and his dream was to become an urban planner. His studies at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (Paris Management School) led him to first join the financial departments of large companies (Nestlé, Dior ) before his desire to work for a smaller company was fulfilled as General Manager of Lunettes Lafont Paris.

He discovered the amazing connections between the work of an architect and humans as well as the technical and fashion components of creative eyewear. In 2014 FACE A FACE becomes part of the “Design eyewear group”, where Pascal Jaulent advances to the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) for all brands in the group.

Far from standardized fashion diktats and conformist trends , each collection asserts its artistic temperament , drawing its inspiration from the sources of Modern Art, architecture and contemporary design.

The new models

Model Daria is inspired by designer DARIA Zinovatnaya who brings together softness and sharpness in her work focusing on its graphic lines in space. A hand-applied stroke of lacquer connects both parts of the eyewear and joins together with the temple. Sophisticated and precious model MASHA is feline and feminine: its two cat-eye shapes - round or rectangular - play with transparent and fluorescent effects. Colors include teal, coral pink with transparent temples, and terracotta enhanced by a safari pattern.

Inspired by the illusional labyrinths of Escher, this dizzying creation converses the norm: Top transforms into bottom, or is it the contrary? Elevate your level of style (in heels of course) with BOCCA PIXIES: a never-ending staircase of everlasting delight and new aesthetic dimensions.

The pixelation of the iconic BOCCA range finds a new composition in BOCCA TWEET. Developing its vocabulary of cubic construction, the front and side give the impression of being carved from a single 3D block. Like a Tweet, this design is created to say a lot... in a short space of time!
