Founded by two half-Venezuelan/Spanish siblings in Bassano del Grappa (Italy) in April 2016 with a passion for authentic craftsmanship, contemporary design and, supporting small enterprises with a meaningful vision, PORTRAIT Eyewear is the only brand in the eyewear market entirely influenced by contemporary art.

The shapes are the result of in-depth design research with experimentation at the heart of the product, strongly influenced by art-history movements and dedicated to iconic figures.

Coherent with the project’s art soul, the communication is based on the promotion of emerging artists in a fair cooperation that co- endorses both players; the brand and its fascinating testimonials. 

About the brand

The goal of the brand is to offer unique limited edition, top quality eyewear, entirely hand made in Italy conceived for free-soul creative individuals that equal luxury to uniqueness and top quality materials. Collectionable items of real worth.

The production

The products are entirely handmade by artisans, who combine traditional craftsmanship with high-technology manufacturing, pursuing the highest standards of quality.

An eco friendly & sustainable collection

The production process adheres to environmentally-friendly and sustainable practices in all phases like other brands such as wave of wood, 7Plis for example. All frames and shapes are original and start with research and design experimentation. PORTRAIT offers nothing but originally-designed collections - no copies or replicas can be found in the product range.

All models are designed entirely by the co-founder, Gabriel. The lenses conform to the highest European standards, color technology and sunscreens.

A strong brand identity

Founded in Northern Italy in 2016, PORTRAIT has focused on the development of a strong brand identity. The product is inspired in iconic artists from different fields. All products are made in a sustainable way. The target personas are what they call The Creative HNWI who see luxury in unique, premium and limited-edition items. PORTRAIT is available in 130 premium stores, in 20 countries worldwide.

The main commercial channel is B2B. PORTRAIT has recently pivoted its strategy towards the B2C channel with a luxury-UX website. Consistently investing in digital and influencers marketing.

The brand promotes emerging artists through its communication Plaftorm. This co-marketing strategy reinforces the value of uniqueness and therefore addresses the product to a community of creative and art-lovers.

On the other hand, it provides a social-responsible offer.
